I’m Hazel of Heilan Hands Therapies and I have been a qualified massage therapist since 2013. I qualified from Hereford College of Technology and went on to be a therapist at the local Warner Hotel. Before this, I was lucky enough to work and travel around the world, backpacking, working as cabin crew for Virgin Atlantic and as crew aboard a private yacht.
I have always worked with people in a customer-focused setting and my passion is helping people to feel better – in mind, body and soul. I truly believe that self-care is a necessity and not just a treat. “I wish I hadn’t had that treatment” – said no person ever!!
As well as offering treatments, I organise Day Retreats. My first was in October 2022 and the theme was “Menopause”. I like to base each retreat around a theme and invite therapists and practitioners along, to present and introduce people to new ideas. I was delighted at the support I had in running my first Day Retreat – it felt like a real community, something which I strongly feel is lacking in today’s world. There is something so powerful in a group of people coming together with the same mindset and positivity.
Everyone is truly welcome at my Day Retreats. I aim to introduce people to different therapies and wellness tips to open the mind to alternative ways that you might not have thought of. It takes a village to raise a child, but we adults need to be part of a village, too!
